The Deanship Vision
To be a distinguished deanship in teaching PYD students and active in community services.
The Deanship Mission:
To provide a quality education and active societal partnerships through a motivating environment and distinct human and technical resources for developing the personal and academic skills qualifying for college life.
Core values:
The core values of the PYD have been taken into consideration while formulating its strategic plan; such values are derived from the guidance of the Islamic religion and regarded as the main base for the internal and external relations of the deanship.
The PYD values share the same values of Prince Sattam Bin Abdulaziz University, which include:
- Effective teamwork: Co-operating in performing all work in a manner that achieves the vision and Mission of the deanship.
- Transparency and inquiry: By documenting its performance reports, guidelines, and publishing them.
- Abiding by the national and international (institutional) quality standards:
- Through planning for all procedures, regulating the implementation process and following the rules governing the quality standards.
- Justice and integrity: Dealing with all employees and beneficiaries must be in the same criteria without bias or discrimination.
- Perfection: Doing the work in the best way according to the Islamic teachings and the quality standards.
- Social responsibility: The commitment to enhance the society partnership programs.
- Deanship's objectives: Seven main strategic objectives have been identified for the Preparatory Year
Deanship; they are as follows:
- Enhancing students' abilities and skills, developing the academic values and encouraging them to innovate, create, and develop themselves to be prepared for university life.
- Attracting distinguished faculty members and staff as well as improving the services provided to them.
- Developing a motivating environment for teaching and learning to achieve high levels of quality and excellence.
- Organizing administrative work effectively.
- Developing the infrastructure and professional atmosphere to support the shift towards electronic processes.
- Developing the financial resources of the deanship.
- Establishing an active community partnership.
